Hello, I am Kimberly (Kim), and I was one of the participants living at Starcare Adult Family Home. After being discharged from the hospital, I was assigned to Starcare Adult Family Home in Seattle, Washington, through Providence. The initial agreement was for one month, but after living there for a few weeks, I asked my social worker if I could extend my stay and remain there for as long as the program would allow. I did not want to leave the facility because the staff provided far more care and support than I ever expected.

The team cared for me like family, and their kindness made me feel comfortable and valued every day. At this adult family home, I met both short-term and long-term participants, and everyone seemed happy staying there. Starcare has truly built an amazing care team, and I do not have enough words to express how grateful I am for the outstanding service I received. Thank you so much—my appreciation goes beyond words
